How to exclude the TCMS software from Avast Anti-virus

Before running the TCMS software, you will have to set a rule on the Avast anti-virus program so that it can exclude the software from its shield.

To set this rule on the anti-virus, you will have to right-click the Avast anti-virus icon, and select "Open Interface". Afterwards, you will have to click on "Settings".

Then, you will need to click on "Global Exclusions".

Afterwards, you will just have to copy and paste the following two links on the address bar:

C:\Windows\SysWOW64\chilkatftp2.dll

C:\Windows\System32\msiexec.exe

When you copy the first link, you will just have to paste it into the address bar. You can then click on "Add" to add a new link. After placing both of those links on the address bar, you will just need to click on "OK"

After clicking on "OK", the settings will be saved and the TCMS software will be excluded from the anti-virus.

When you open the TCMS program, you may get the pop up that you were receiving before you excluded the program. You will just have to click on "OK" and then close the software, then re-open it. When you run it the second time, you should not get the pop up.

If the version of the anti-virus is different, or if you are unable to set this exclusion on your Avast anti-virus, feel free to contact us for Remote Support.
